Studies on remotely implemented programs for individuals with low incomes or interventions that seek to help participants improve their employment outcomes by helping them meet their basic needs.

To help programs make evidence-based decisions about how to adapt their services to meet the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Pathways is issuing a special Call for Papers for studies of interventions that may be especially relevant to supporting individuals with low incomes during this time. We are particularly interested in interventions that implement services remotely (like remote job search assistance) and/or help participants meet their basic needs through strategies like cash transfers, immediate income boosts, or housing provision and whose primary aim is to improve employment outcomes for workers with low-incomes. We want to quickly make this information available to help programs make evidence-based decisions about how to support individuals with low incomes during this difficult time. Submissions should include the following:

  • The study in MS Word or PDF format. Please include papers even if available online—for example, those on university or program web sites.
  • A cover e-mail noting contact information for the lead or corresponding author.

Please send submissions to PathwaysClearinghouse@mathematica-mpr.com. The submission deadline is September 10, 2020.
